Fourth meeting of Coordination Review & Monitoring Committee (CRMC) held at MoFA.

The 4th meeting of the Committee for Coordination, Review and Monitoring (CRMC) of United Nations Security Council sanction resolutions was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad on 30 October 2019. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Zafar Ali, Director General SECDIV and attended by designated ex-officio members from Ministry of Finance, Commerce, Maritime Affairs, Interior, Law and Justice, Defence Production, Foreign Affairs, Federal Board of Revenue, State Bank of Pakistan, Civil Aviation Authority, Securities and Exchange Commission, Board of Investment, Strategic Plans Division, Intelligence, Federal Investigation Agency, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Central Depository Company.

Pakistan – China Bilateral Meeting on Strategic Export Controls

A delegation of the Bureau of Industry, Security, Import and Export Control (BISIEC) of the Ministry of Commerce, People’s Republic of China visited Strategic Export Control Division (SECDIV), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan on 18 March 2019. The Chinese delegation was led by Mr. Jiang Qianliang, Deputy Director General (BISIEC), People’s Republic of China, Dr. Zafar Ali, Director General SECDIV led the Pakistan side.

Pakistan Notifies Revised Control Lists under the Export Control Act of 2004.

Pursuant to the Export Control on Goods, Technologies, Material and Equipment related to Nuclear and Biological Weapons and their Delivery Systems Act 2004, the Government of Pakistan has notified revised Control Lists of Goods, Technologies, Material and Equipment that are subject to SECDIV license for export. The Act enables the Government to control export, re-export, trans-shipment and transit of goods, technologies, material and equipment related to Nuclear and Biological Weapons and their Delivery Systems.

A two-day international Seminar on ''The Present and Future of Strategic Export Controls'' organized by the Strategic Export Control Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs was opened today. The seminar is aimed at reinforcing networking among export control community and strengthening engagements for promoting regional and international cooperation against the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) and their delivery systems.
