Strategic Export Control Division (SECDIV) arranged a meeting with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and IT enabled services (P@SHA) on 14 April 2026, chaired by the Director General (SECDIV), Mr. Haroon Rashid. The session aimed to raise awareness regarding proliferation and proliferation financing (PF) risks within the IT sector.
During the briefing, both organizations were apprised of their compliance obligations concerning export controls and counter-proliferation financing. Director General (SECDIV) highlighted how proliferators exploit vulnerabilities within the IT sector, detailing the specific schemes and tactics deployed. Both organizations demonstrated willingness to cooperate on future initiatives to safeguard the IT sector.
