A team of Strategic Export Control Division (SECDIV) conducted two-days Commodity Identification Training (CIT) at Custom House, Quetta on 24-25 May 2023. The training was aimed at enhancing competence of enforcement agencies in identification and interdiction of sensitive dual use items. Over the two days, presentations and discussion were held on various aspect of strategic export controls, identification of sensitive commodities, introduction to the detection equipment, red flag indicators and implementation of the UNSC sanctions.
The SECDIV team also visited Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industries (QCCI) and the University of Balochistan, Quetta to sensitize the academia/business community on the laws and regulations related to strategic export controls including implementation of Internal Compliance Program (ICP) guidelines.
The training event was a part of SECDIV routine annual Outreach and CIT plan.
